CURLEW SCHOOL COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION
Regular Meeting Minutes
March 20, 2006, &:00 p.m., Home Ec. Room 

The meeting was called to order by acting chair, Gretchen Halbach.  Others present were:  Jaigne Beck, Ann Seiter, and Wanda Fletcher

The minutes were approved as read.

Treasurer’s report:

Regular account: $5250.95 (includes donations from BPA, $500 and PUD $10 for the science fair.)                  Savings: $399.09

School board Report:

· Nicky Kroupa has resigned as track coach
Chris Bell has been hired as the cross-country and track and field coach
A student survey showed high interest in track and field.
Enrollment is steady.

Old Business: 

Ann gave a report on the science fair.
The budget looks good.
88 kids are registered.
Katie Wimpari won the logo contest for the T-shirts.
There will be no judges or prizes.
WSU and the Border Patrol will be coming.
There will be a paper airplane contest. Help is needed for setting up.  Wanda will talk to Brett about getting students to help.
A motion was made to award Katie Wimpari her prize of $10.00 for the logo contest.

New Business:

· The 6^th grade spaghetti dinner is planned for 5-6 p.m. the night of the science fair.  Proceeds will go for their science camp.

The Science Van is coming in April.  CSCA has funds earmarked for part of the cost.

Next meeting is April 18. The meeting was adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
