Curlew School District 50

Our Mission Statement

Students achieving their highest potential

Curlew School is located in Curlew, Washington.  We are a small unincorporated town in northeast section of the state and we are about ten miles from the Canadian border. Our school site houses all students from grades Pre-school through 12th grade. Our enrollment is slightly under 175 students. Main employers of our area are involved in mining, logging, the school, border patrol, and a Job Corp center.  Our area has great fishing and hunting, as well as snowmobiling and cross-country skiing in the winter months.

In sports our mascot is the Cougar. We belong to District 7 of our state structured WIAA organization and are a member of the Northeast 1B league which features eleven schools.  Our classification is "1B".  Classifications are figured by number of students in grades 9-11.

Curlew School District does not discriminate in any programs or activities on the basis of sex, race, creed, religion, color, national origin, age, veteran or military status, sexual orientation, gender expression or identity, disability, or the use of a trained dog guide or service animal and provides equal access to the Boy Scouts and other designated youth groups.  Questions  and complaints of alleged discrimination should be addressed with Paul Clark at Curlew School.  509-779-4931.
