Hi! My name is Charlie Groth. The 2016-2017 school year is my 39th year of teaching... all of those here at Curlew School District. I grew up in Ione, Washington and attended Selkirk High School . My college years were spent at Eastern Washington University where in 1978 I received by B.A. in Education. My teaching field is Business Education. I received my Masters in Education from Grand Canyon University. In 1979 I became married to my wife Jennine.
We have three sons: Jeremy, Craig, and Cody. Jeremy and his wife Kelli, along with sons Christian and Carson, live in Spokane. Jeremy is an instructor at Spokane Community College and is the men's basketball coach. Craig and his wife Bethany live in Moses Lake, Washington. They have one boy that is one year old. Craig is a Physical Educator teacher in the Moses Lake school district and is the assistant varsity basketball coach for Moses Lake High School. Cody is working and living outside Dallas, Texas.
Besides being the Business Education teacher I am also the school's athletic director. In athletics I have previously coached girls basketball for 18 years, girls softball for 33years, cross country for 3 years, and assisted boys basketball 6 years. I continue to coach softball.
